How To Increase Virtual Memory In Your PC

I know how it feels like to have a computer with a low virtual memory.
It is very common among PC users, especially when a PC user is running
multiple programs and the memory usage is very large. This will affect
the computer, as it has its maximum level of what its memory can
handle in a particular time. Don't worry, there is no cause for alarm
as this can be manually fixed without downloading and installing any
PC software.


This tutorial will show you how to increase the size of your computer
virtual memory. This tutorial is for Mac OS users, Windows 7 and
Windows Vista, and the Windows XP users.
=> Windows Vista And Windows 7 Users:
>>> On your PC desktop screen, click the "Start" button and select the "Control Panel" by the side. Now, check among the given options if "System And Maintenance" is included, and click on "System".

>>> See the left side menu and select "Advanced System Settings". You might be asked for administrator password, provide the required password and click on ok.

>>> Select the "Advanced" option. Locate the "Virtual Memory" heading and click "Change".
>>> Unmark or untick the box option "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" and locate the list of drives under the option "Drive or Volume label". You are to adjust the virtual memory from the drive that contains the operating system. Click on this drive and click on "Custom Size". Now, change the number in the text boxes for both "Maximum size (MB)" and for "Initial Size (MB)" and click on "Set" when you are done. Click on ok. Feel free to restart your PC if prompted. Enjoy!

Windows XP Users:
>>> Locate the "Start" button on your PC and click to open. Also click on "Run" and type in "sysdm .cpl" in the provided box tagged as "Open" and click on ok.
>>> Click the "Advanced" tab and locate the option "Performance". Select "Settings" and click on the "Advanced" tab and choose the "Change" option located under the "Virtual Memory". Now, choose from among the listed drives under the option "Drive (Volume label)". Choose the drive that contains the operating system. You can adjust your PC virtual memory in this drive. Now, click on "Custom size" located under the option "Paging file size for selected drive".

>>> Now you can increase your computer virtual memory by changing the number in the text boxes for both "Initial size (MB)" and "Maximum size (MB)". When you are done, click on "Set" and click OK to close window. Restart your PC if prompted. Enjoy!

Mac OS Users:

Click on your Apple Menu and choose "Select Panels". Click on "Memory
Control Panels". Now, locate the virtual memory settings and click to
edit the values in the box by increasing to your desired value. Now
you can close the box when you are done. For these changes to take
effect, you will need or have to restart your Mac. Enjoy!
