How To Hide Apps On Samsung And Xiaomi Android Devices

Privacy is not limited to the internet but also applicable to other ways of life. There are 101 reasons to why anyone would want to hide apps. Some people do not like it when their android phones are touched or operated by others. While others are specific on their privacy. You can touch or operate the phone but some apps should not be opened due to privacy reasons. It is one thing to lock apps and another  thing to hide apps. Before now, there was need for one to disable such personal apps to prevent unauthorized access to the app.  The latest android versions of Samsung and Xiaomi come with a feature that enables you to hide apps. Below are steps to hide your personal apps. 

How To Hide Apps On Samsung 

I played around and discovered that my Samsung Galaxy has the ability to hide apps. If you are a Samsung user, just swipe up to access apps menu or app drawer. Now, beside the search box above the screen, by the right side of this page, click on the 3 dot as seen on the photo below. 

From the list of options,  click on Home Screen Settings 

On the next page, scroll down and click on Hide Apps. 

On the next page, you will be provided with all apps available on your Samsung android phone. Select the app(s) you will like to hide. Scroll down and click on Apply to hide selected apps.

That's all for Samsung android devices. 

How To Hide Apps On Xiaomi >>> Poco/Mi/Redmi 

This is very different from Samsung and very easy to hide apps. Go to phone settings and click on Apps >> App Lock. After this, swipe left to locate the Hidden Apps option which is located on the top. From the list of provided apps, click on toggles beside each app to enable the apps you want to hide. That's all. You are good to go.
